Queen Mabin of Silverwood is the Sovereign of the Elven Kingdom of Silverwood over which she has ruled for several hundred years. She is the natural mother of Prince Mikkel, who she exchanged for an identical human from Castria when he was very young for Mikkel's protection from some unknown threat. It is clear that she regrets this decision now, after missing the first eighteen years of his life.

Mabin is a wise ruler, admired by her people. She is also a sorceress, though how powerful is not clear. Her age is unknown, but she is presumed to be several hundred years old.
